37 Dawson Street

One week in Ireland, Galway and Dublin
This is not just any bar. They are 37 Dawson street, a late bar and food emporium.
37 Dawson Street is quite a unique and very loud place. When I say loud I don’t mean volume, the establishment is actually on the more quite and chill side but the decor is what really grabs your attention. I couldn’t help but feeling some moulin Rouge Vibes in the front of the room. It has two floors and a back room that was unfortunately closed while we visited because it was a Monday night but we were able to steal a peak and it looks like quite the spot for a weekend night out! They also have great events going not throughout the week such as Terrific Tipple Tuesdays and brunch with DJ Painted Lady on Sundays.
Lauren was our wonderful server, very sweet and personable and Tony was the very talented bartender. I often enjoy asking bartenders what they like making and after asking me a few questions about my taste he sent over a very refreshing yet strong drink which to my surprise was simply a Tom Collins with elderflower for a twist. My mom went with the always tasting GNT with elderflower and my dad chose a Powers John Lane, a new bourbon Tony has recommended him trying which he really enjoyed.
We went with Laurens recommendations of the crispy fresh calamari which was served with a chili jam and the steak bites with pepper sauce.
They do have a full regular menu but they are known for their tapas and after enjoying ours we understood why!
Would definitely love to visit again and hopefully see the liveliness of a Saturday night!
